MLive: Revolution

Sunday 19 May 2019
2.30pm
Robert Blackwood Hall, Monash University

Capping off their residency at the Monash University School of Music, Arcadia Winds join forces with the Monash Academy Orchestra to present a thrilling program of revolutionary chamber and orchestral music.

Arcadia Winds will kick off by performing some of their favourite Australian works for wind quintet. They will then join forces with the Orchestra and conductor Tianyi Lu for Peggy Glanville-Hicks’ scintillating Etruscan Concerto (with the fabulous Tamara Smolyar on piano), and Beethoven’s seminal Fifth Symphony.

PROGRAM
Arcadia Winds | Australian works for wind quintet
Peggy Glanville-Hicks | Etruscan Conerto
